(the Revd) Lisa Wheeler

Lisa felt drawn to vocational ministry while a student at Birmingham-Southern College (BFA, Painting). She then completed an MDiv at Beeson Divinity School.
During graduate school and throughout her twenties, she served on a church staff in Birmingham, AL, primarily in Christian Education. The next ten years she spent volunteering in church and community. During this time, with her move to Columbia in 2011, she came to Church of the Apostles. In 2017, Lisa was ordained to the diaconate.
While the settings and tasks have varied by decade, Lisa's desire has been consistent: to share the consolations of God's grace through faithful teaching of His Word and the hospitality of listening.
Lisa is married to Thomas, and they have a son and a daughter.
